Problem
One of our customers in Pelham has an exterior patio with some wood decking and saddle. The saddle was in an area susceptible to the elements and the top of the saddle began to draw in water at the edge and the trim underneath the saddle was built in pieces, thus taking in moisture as well. Even with a good paint job, the saddle was destined for rot as can be seen in the first set of pictures; it needed wood replacement.
Solution
To fix this problem, we cut out the existing saddle and rotted wood and installed new composite saddle and trim-board. We filled nail holes, primed and painted the trim boards. The new composite saddle will now resist the elements and is virtually going to last forever.
